before the shoot
_____

| Q: What is required to book our date?

A: We require a 50% (non-refundable) booking fee along with the signed contract to secure your date. The final 50% is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.

| Q: Would you shoot our Destination Wedding?

A: We are based in the Pasadena area of Southern California, but we will go wherever you take us. Check out our Destination Wedding FAQs and contact us when you request your date if you have further questions.

| Q: What should we wear to our Engagement shoot?

A: This should be considered a special event, so dress up! This is a good excuse to go out and buy a new outfit that makes you feel gorgeous (while still feeling comfortable). Be sure to coordinate with your fiancée so you look like you’re headed to the same place — without being matchy.  We curated some examples here.

| Q: Should we do a “First Look”?

A: Although we will NEVER tell you how to run your wedding day, we definitely support this awesome idea. Nothing can ever take away the significance of the walk down the aisle. The great thing about a First Look is that the aisle moment is even MORE powerful because all of the nervous pretense has dissipated. You have already laughed, cried, and hugged out any nervousness, being free to focus on the wedding ceremony instead of the anxiety of seeing each other. We love these examples here. Also check out Dad’s First Look if you want to get all teary-eyed!

| Q: What qualifies as an Elopement?

A: Elopements don’t mean the same thing as they used to: bride and groom running away to get married because their families don’t approve. In fact, as weddings have become more elaborate, elopements are starting to look more like how weddings used to. Elopements are usually an intimate gathering in a beautiful location of just your nearest and dearest to celebrate your big day. This can range from the bride, groom (and officiant) all the way up to 30 guests. Here are some beautiful examples of adventurous elopements!

| Q: What’s a “Trash the Dress” shoot?

A: We wish this had a more flattering name, because it’s such a cool idea. If you’re looking for some fun photos to add to your wedding album, this option may be for you! Let's go to an amazing location sometime after your wedding day to get amazing photos of you and your husband adventuring in a carefree way. Whether you use your real wedding gown or an inexpensive alternative... let's have some fun! We gathered some ideas here.

package details
_____

| Q: Do I get all of the high-resolution edited photos?

A: Yes! Our wedding package includes an online interactive gallery, as well as a USB drive with all of the edited images.

| Q: Can I see the unedited photos you took?

A: We never release any unedited photos into the wild — ever. But don’t worry, we give you all the best photos and trash all the unflattering ones.

| Q: How many photos will I get?

A: For a portrait session, a minimum of 50. For a wedding or similar session, a minimum of 400. We are saying that to be on the safe side — it usually ends up being more!

| Q: Do you offer albums and prints?

A: Yes, absolutely! We offer only the best handcrafted albums and professional archival prints to our clients. More information on this is included in your “Welcome Packet” after you book with us.

| Q: Do you offer discounts?

A: No, sorry. If you are on a budget, ask about our Referral Program when you contact us to request your date. If your wedding is less than 6 hours (from getting ready to the end of the celebration), you may qualify for pricing somewhere between our Elopement and Wedding packages

destination weddings
_____

We would be thrilled to travel wherever you’ll take us.

| Q: What are Destination Wedding Photography fees and prices?

A: Our destination wedding photography packages have the same pricing as regular wedding photography packages. The only additional costs that our clients would be responsible for are as follows:

1) Airfare
2) Baggage fees
3) Hotel accommodations (typically 2 nights but dependent on the length of the event)
4) Rental car (typically 3 days but dependent on the length of the event)
5) Vendor meals for the day of the event(s)
6) Per Diem: $30/day per photographer for meals on travel days and days not on the events

| Q: How many people of your team do we need to fly out?

A: This all depends on your package, timeline, guest count, and program, but it can be up to 3 people. We depart for your destination a day in advance, to ensure we have time to scout your wedding location and arrive for your wedding on time. We generally leave the day after your event, but it depends on your timeline.

| Q: Do I need to book the flights and accommodations?

A: Once we know your wedding details, we will handle the research and planning for travel and accommodations. Melissa is a master researcher and Brian has a knack for finding great deals, so you won’t need to worry about a thing.

| Q: Do you offer discounted packages for destination weddings?

A: Sorry, no. The only difference in pricing between destination and regular weddings are the travel fees.

| Q: Wouldn’t it be easier to just hire a local photographer where I’m having my wedding?

A: Great question! Not necessarily. Unfortunately, hiring a local photographer from your wedding location is not only more expensive, but it is a huge risk. It’s not only harder to communicate and coordinate with them before your wedding day; it’s also uncertain in terms of receiving your images afterward. Our couples would much rather come to us for convenient and quick correspondence if they ever need an opinion or have a question before or after an event.
