The Little Things 01

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden , and I will give you rest . Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
— Matthew 11:28-30

It's often those seemingly insigficant moments that later become fond memories when you look back. That's why I'm starting a little place for documenting how things are around here in our everyday, normal life. Parker's first year has gone by so fast, with 10 months coming up tomorrow. Although I can't make time slow down, I am willing to dedicate some time once a week to documenting and preserving these sweet moments.

This week was baby's first cold - he laughs and smiles and plays with toys until he gets so tired that he takes one of those extra long naps. We've had sleepless nights, lots of cuddles and a special treat of coconut water mixed in his bottles to keep him hydrated. We've been comforted by God's Word where he commands us to rest (Matt. 11:28-30, Ps. 4:8).

Here's to keeping a focus on what is important, and celebrating the little things.
